Facebook has blocked the spread of Google Plus invites

There have been claims that Facebook has blocked the spread of Google Plus invites within its news feed, which has sent Google and Facebook into an argument again.
It all started when on Tuesday, a Google spokesperson posted a video on Google Plus demonstrating how the Google Plus invite links were not actually showing up in friends’ news feeds on Facebook. In the video, Randall Safara goes through and shows how posing a link to Google Plus in a Facebook status does not show up on his friends’ news feeds whereas normal status updates do. However, in the comments on the video, many users said that Facebook events were not showing up on Google Plus.
After the video was posted, many people recreated the test but had no problems posting Google Plus invites on Facebook. Facebook then issued a statement saying that it was aware of the video and that there were no issues posting Google Plus information on Facebook. However, this is certainly not the first account of issues that relate to Google Plus links and information on Facebook. It will be interesting to see if the two rival social networks continue to duke it out.
